The Rosie View Ep. 4: Historical Giants and Intellectual Midgets
I’m a bad, bad podcaster but I had a great and relaxing holiday and have only now gotten around to editing and uploading the show we recorded on July 17th! I hope this won’t stop you from considering nominating us for the Irish Web Awards….
Ahem!

This week we kick off with Rosemary talking about The Tudors which was screening on TV3
13m18s Then I talk about the series Inside Nature’s Giants which I, well enjoyed might not be the right word but endured is too negative. I liked it a lot but it was gross.
18m16s I give the Puddleducks Blog a plug because I was sure I’d read about the whale featured in the show “Inside Nature’s Giants” on the Puddleducks Blog and I was right!
19m49s I mention the YouTube video below of whale dissection gone bad – eeeuuurrrggghhh!
25m31s The Hills Ultimate episode. This review involves Rosemary mentioning Baudrillard at 32m35s. She doesn’t get away with it. I point out she’s still reviewing the ultimate in pop-cannibalism. I know: more than 7 minutes talking about The Hills – whoda thunk it?
33m16s We rustle up a plan to discuss The Wire on next show but we often lead you on like this…
33m40s We discuss Lie to Me which stars some British bloke (Tim Roth I now know) and other American shows of its ilk including The Mentalist (gets a mention again at 40m47s. Really I don’t like it that much…). Lie to Me Season 1 is coming to an end this week on Sky 1. Turns out there is “science behind the show” but it is a Fox network creation. Pinch of salt and all that…
42m11s Rosemary tells us about a documentary she watched which may have been called Inside Criminal Minds which reveals that Lie to Me might not be that unlikely. You may call me sceptical
46m04s We wrap up after a discussion about boxsets. I have written about how much I love them previously.

A friend of mine was in The Tudors – he was the guy who comes running in bringing grave news from Rome. Another friend filmed a scene for it as well a few weeks ago, but it’s not really one of those parts you can gather the family round to watch…

Howdy Stewart!
It’s always a leedle bit thrilling to see someone you know on telly, isn’t it?
I’m going to have to watch the next series. I would say half my former classmates from the Samuel Beckett Centre and my cohorts from Dublin Youth Theatre pop up in it as some point.
There’s a great site for anyone who wants a bit of that Extra action in Ireland movieextras.ie. You too could be in a scene too filthy to show the family!
